Lead Teacher
As a Lead Teacher, you'll bring our child development program to life in your classroom — planning engaging curriculum, nurturing each child's unique gifts, and partnering closely with families.
What you'll do
- Create classroom curriculum and schedule, submitting to management staff for approval
- Observe and assess children's developmental progress
- Supervise children continuously while ensuring proper care and growth
- Manage classroom assistants and volunteers
- Identify and nurture each child's unique talents and interests
- Maintain regular, warm communication with parents
- Foster positive relationships across the school community
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and safe
What you'll need
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED
- ECE initial certificate, verified in the electronic workforce registry
- ECE short certificate within the required timeframe
- Current DCYF background check and TB test
- Required training certifications: Mandated Reporter, CPR/First-Aid, Food Handlers, and others as required
